PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack Coming In 2026

I’m a big VOLTRA fan, but I’m also excited to see more innovation from other companies. The PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne EStack fits that bill. We’ve got a tech company (RepOne) building the eStack, and working with a top equipment manufacturer (PRx) to marry up and produce one heck of an offering in the digital resistance market.

I am waiting on this piece to arrive, and then will be adding to the Review Pipeline.

PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack Overview

We’ve been VOLTRA fans for over 3 years, as early beta testers and regular users with every athlete in our gym. We’ve clocked thousands of sets on each VOLTRA, we’ve combined them with just about every other piece of equipment in our space, and we now run a podcast dedicated to learning more about them from other experts.

But competition is a good thing. And the PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack is the first piece to truly test the waters of digital resistance in a similar, but different fashion.

The VOLTRA is portable, small, and meant to be used with mounts, your own rack, and whatever else you want to use it with. The RepOne eStack isn’t. Their first integration is with PRx and their wall-mount functional trainer system. In the video above you can see that this is a fairly large unit, meant to be wall mounted, and fully integrated into the rack system.

The VOLTRA is a cable machine in itself, where the RepOne eStack is more focused on replacing the weight stack. A little different of a concept.

With the PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack we remove some of the issues with the VOLTRA. Battery power is gone because this thing will be plugged into the wall. Issues with the cable are gone because we have a much bigger and robust unit. No more overheating, because we have plenty of cooling. You get it.

But where we lose some out with the PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack is with the ability to take it wherever we want. Adding it to your other equipment is simple with the VOLTRA, not likely as simple with the PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack.

We get a BETTER digital resistance experience, that probably feels more normal to most gym goers. But we lose some of the unique abilities that the VOLTRA brings to the table. Things that nothing else can do.

I’m excited for the PRx Pulse Powered by RepOne eStack, but I’m not positive that it will replace the VOLTRAs in my space. And I think having two different digital resistance devices with different interfaces and set-ups could quickly become frustrating. But we won’t know until it ends up in the garage.

Other Options On The Market

Obviously the number one competitor here, is the VOLTRA. Others are on the way, but the king of Digital Resistance for the Garage Gym Lifter is the Beyond Power VOLTRA, and it’ll probably continue that way for awhile.
