REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment Coming 2026
Last updated on December 19th, 2025 at 06:10 pm
The Dialed Motion Leg Developer was demoed at HomeGymCon 2025. It was one of the busiest booths, despite being one of the smallest. The two brother team alongside their cousin ran the show for the two days and walked people through the set-up of Leg Extensions, Lying Leg Curls, Seated Leg Curls, Preacher Curls, and Storage. This thing ticks a tremendous amount of boxes, even potentially surpassing dedicated commercial pieces in the customization and abilities. And now we have information that is has evolved into the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment… Coming in 2026.
I am waiting on this piece to arrive, and then will be adding to the Review Pipeline.

REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment Update

Dialed Motion was originally working on the Leg Developer in house and aimed at launching Q4 of 2025. They recently announced a collaboration with REP Fitness. This has delayed the launch into Q4 of 2026. My guess, based on other projects and releases from REP, we won’t see this until well into 2027.
The good news, is that this will probably lower the price, improve the availability, and likely make an even more refined product. They’ll have access to REP’s vinyl and injection molded foam, their huge R&D team and production teams, and much more.
It will be interesting to see how this lines up against REP’s own in house leg developer launch.
A History Of Leg Developers

The Leg Developer has been a bench attachment for dozens of years. We’ve now owned approaching 10 different variations in our garage gym tenure, which all vary slightly. Typically, you have a plate loaded piece that attaches onto the front or backside of a bench. It attaches via an attachment port by sliding into the post. And then you have the ability to do Leg Extensions and Lying Leg Curls.
The attachments of years past had very little to NO adjustments to them. So if you were taller or shorter than average, you just dealt with it. The strength curve was typically pretty inconsistent as the weight starts off perpendicular to the floor and transitions all the way to horizontal, changing the amount of resistance throughout due to gravity.
You also typically had to make due with a less than stellar bench just to get these attachments. Meaning you either owned an adjustable bench for your real work and one for attachments, or sacrificed anything heavy for the sake of your attachments.
REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment Overview

Dialed Motion’s goal is to build out a world where home gyms, regardless of their space allocation, can have the best tools available to them. No limitations in function or performance. Their cable systems certainly accomplished this. And they are aiming to strike gold again with their new Dialed Motion Leg Developer.
All of the negatives I mentioned above, they are aiming to attack. If anyone else was doing this, I’d laugh. But I think they just might be able to do it.

Will The REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment Be Compatible With Non-REP Benches?

Short answer is, yes. Dialed Motion has the following details available, showing that they plan to be compatible with a pretty wide assortment of benches from a lot of the top offerings in the market. My guess is that this is not the entirety of the list, because some benches have compatible tube sizes, but this will get us 98% of the way there.
What we don’t know yet, is how this will launch. I would assume that REP, being their launch partner, will have an early lead on compatibility here. I could see the REP benches getting a 6 month window where ONLY their attachment is available, followed by the others.
REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment Features

One of the BEST features out the gate is that the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment is cable driven. They accomplish this using the same cable retractor mechanism that they use with their rack attached cable devices. This means you don’t have to install a cable or doing anything crazy to hook this up. It is all built in. It also means we get the consistent strength curve of a cable, assuming they have the cam set up correctly. In my quick tests it felt pretty solid. The Leg Extensions were a little light at the top with their system, but with something like the VOLTRA I’s you can customize this entirely to your own wants and needs.
ALL Of The Benches

The REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment sets the bar high right out the gate with the ability to be used with a number of benches. They will out the gate work with REP benches, but they have already stated compatibility goals with benches like the Rogue Manta Ray, IronMaster Super Bench Pro V2, and more. The way they are accomplishing this is with a piece that goes into the benches attachment port, which then attaches to the Leg Developer.
Leg Extensions

Leg Extensions are a staple in our garage for me and my wife and even my daughter. The struggle is that very few leg developers can handle an 8 year old, a 5ft6 female, and a 240lb 6ft dude. Dialed Motion has added in a TON of adjustment features that let you “dial it in” to exact right specifics for you.
My wife has a bad knee and we have to be conscious of the amount of stretch we place on her quads. Where as I’m an aspiring bodybuilder dude and want more stretch for more gains. So we have two opposing needs here. Nothing on the market today is going to accomplish this. They also managed to include handles on the seat, which is a nice win to keep your locked in place. I might still tinker with my Seat Belt depending on how nasty the sets get, but I like where they are going.
Lying Leg Curls

Lying Leg Curls get rotated in our space with seated and standing. A staple for a number of reasons, but my wife struggles with them. They often put too much torque on her knee. With the adjustments we have with the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment, I’m really intrigued to see if this changes. In my first go round with it, I was constantly feeling like I wanted the ankle roller LOWER. Then James dropped it for me, and we were in business.
Again, you can control the stretch, end range, and more. I’ve found that with Lying Leg Curls I often want a little less at the fully contracted portion because I’m the weakest there. Again, the VOLTRA combined with the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment is promising to be a very killer combo.
Seated Leg Curls

This was the feature I was most excited to test when I arrived. We have historically had to DIY or Hack our way to a seated leg curl. It works, but it isn’t perfect. You need extra attachments, specialized pieces, and some flexibility to make it work. Unfortunately, no Leg Developer gets it done. Dialed Motion manages to accomplish this with a quick pin adjustment.
The science tells us that seated leg curls, due to stretching at the knee and hip, have a greater hypertrophy ability than lying leg curls. So keeping these in the routine, and maximizing their potential with a quality attachment, is killer. The adjustments for the leg extensions pop RIGHT into the seated leg curls. You could easily superset these without even flinching. You do need the piece to keep your legs down, but I think that is an obvious choice.
Preacher Curls

I had no idea they had developed this. And I was PUMPED. I’ve never liked barbell, ez curl, or dumbbell preacher curls. Something always felt off. But machine preacher curls are my JAM! By far my favorite exercise in the commercial gym for biceps, and one I’ve tried to find a replacement for before without any success.
They told me that this was designed just a few weeks before the show. So it makes sense that this is FAR from an ideal final result. You can see that the pad is far too low, and the curl attachment isn’t even close to correct. But I’m here for it.
Storage & Mobility

I knew they had SOMETHING for this, but wow was I impressed. The REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment comes off the bench, leaving behind the piece that connects it, and comes right on over to your rack/wall storage. They have a bolt on piece that works like a teardrop fashion, so the developer just slides on, stores away, and everyone is happy.
I’ll be excited to see how this plays in my situation. I have a 4 post rack currently, so that won’t work. And I have ZERO extra wall space. So I’ll need to likely retrofit this to my Mass Storage solution, or figure out a custom DIY piece. We shall see!
What I’m Looking For In The REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment

Obviously what is pictured in this article is still a prototype. And it was based on the idea that Dialed Motion was going to handle production themselves. Now that REP is involved, and we are a full year from launch, there are even more questions to be answered.
My daughter kept getting her finger almost caught in the adjustments. The metal is very “unfinished”. The preacher curl attachment might be a first development stage. You can see the pins on the leg rollers aren’t even finished or capped. There is a lot left to get done here. But man, if I could take any one item I know is being finished RIGHT NOW and bring it into my space, this would be it.
This could completely alter the Adjustable Bench market, as companies could simply add an adapter port and skip making their own piece. Rogue might just do that. I even heard rumors that they got feedback of how to make the Preacher Curl work for Triceps Extensions. HOT DAMN!
I am confident that no one has handled more leg developers than I have. And beyond just using them, I use them REGULARLY. Leg Extensions are an exercise I have done nearly every single week for the past 6+ years. Leg Curls are an exercise that has preceded squats since I first saw John Meadows do it. And Seated Leg Curls are such a fan favorite I created a DIY solution with multiple pieces of equipment to do them. I’m ready to compare this to just about everything else out there and see if it is worth the hype in REAL training situations, or not.
Other Options On The Market
There isn’t anything EXACTLY like the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment, but we have some options depending on what you have in your gym.
Freak Athlete Hyper Pro Leg Developer

The Hyper Pro launched their Leg Developer, and then I pressured the team to design a cable attachment for it. It works well enough that we haven’t touched our other go-to option with the Inspire FT2 in months. It is still likely lacking compared to the Dialed Motion option, but we are also talking about half the price (or less). So there are some trade-offs here.
A Number of Adjustable Benches

We currently have multiple benches in our garage that have a leg developer. The IronMaster Super Bench Pro V2 is one of the best of the bunch with a huge assortment of attachments. The Bells of Steel Buzzsaw is a heavy duty bench with a modified ability to add a Leg Developer. The Inspire SCS also takes a leg developer that connects into the functional trainer itself. And the REP Nighthawk will be compatible with the upcoming REP Leg Developer.
GentlemanFitnessClub Leg Developer

This is one of the few bench agnostic options on the market. Meaning that you can conceivably use this with any bench you have. We took it for a ride and I wasn’t very impressed. It scratched my bench, was very unstable, and was nearly useless for leg curls.
Freak Athlete ABX

Our current favorite leg developer is for the Freak Athlete ABX. It works on cables, it has a number of adjustments, it wheels into place, and has some solidly designed angles, padding, and more.
REP Fitness Leg Developer

The most interesting piece to compare to the Dialed Motion offering, is the REP Fitness offering. Yes, there is a good chance that REP launches their own Leg Developer in 2025, and then launches a collab with Dialed Motion in 2026.
While they have similarities, there are some big differences as well. Using the REP offering at HomeGymCon, next to the Dialed Motion, one was clearly the winner. My assumption would be that REP decided to avoid losing the battle, and instead join forces. By pushing the Dialed Motion release out into late 2026, it gives their in-house offering time to launch on its own, likely as the BEST option on the market, build a following and reputation, and then launch the Dialed Motion when that has calmed down a bit.
If I had to guess, REP’s offering will be significantly cheaper, looking at being the premium option for a great price, where the REP x Dialed Motion Leg Day Attachment will be the absolute best of the best in every way possible, thus a much more expensive option.
The Freak Athlete ABX attachment is $400 on its own. I would wager REP tries to come in somewhere around $500 for theirs, and the Dialed Motion will be closer to $1000. Original estimates from the Dialed Motion team had it sitting around that $1k mark, and possibly higher depending on the accessories you added for it.
