Arm Assassin Rolling Top Curl Overview

ArmAssassinRollingTopCurl

Arm Assassin is an American made manufacturing company, putting together the best of the best for grip, arm wrestling, and those chasing down popeye arms.

The Neutral Top Curl gives us a few unique features, training the arms in a completely neutral fashion, with the chain strap that wraps around the frame.

And it is part of the napalm nightmare series, which means we have interchangeable handles.

What The Arm Assassin Rolling Top Curl Does Well

ArmAssassinRollingTopCurl Chain

The Arm Assassin Rolling Top Curl focuses on the brachialis, which is the muscle underneath your bicep, which can help lift the bicep up when properly developed. The chain, as you curl up, wraps around the frame which pulls the handle down, forcing you to flex your wrist up, training the radio brachialis, the top of your forearm.

Whether straight curl work bothers your elbows or wrists, or you simply want to do some unique arm work, this is one of my favorite attachments for neutral curls.

Play

My favorite use is to smash as many reps as I can with the strap rotating on me, which will fatigue the radio brachialis first, then flip it around like a mechanical drop set and finish off a few more reps to fully fatigue the brachialis. As mentioned, we can interchange the handles if we want. Grabbing globe grips. Pinch grips, cone grips, and different thickness grips if we want.

As someone who prefers a fatter grip, this allows me to train the arms in a very unique fashion that fits me very well.

What The Arm Assassin Rolling Top Curl Does NOT Do Well

ArmAssassinRollingTopCurl Handle

The only real frustration I have, is how simplistic this piece is. As a cable attachment junky, I’ve grown accustom to the stainless steel, the knurling, and the flashy features. This is definitely not that.

If you want to change out handles, you need to grab an allen key, remove the handles, put your new ones on, and lock it back in place. The chain strap is secured with an eye bolt, which has to be unhooked for use. And you need to keep track of it and the wingnut. And you can see the powdercoat has taken a bit of a beating in use over time.

So if you are a nit picky dude who can’t fathom holding onto a bar that doesn’t have the exact right TPI knurl… then this might not be for you.

Rating Of The Arm Assassin Rolling Top Curl

S Tier List In Progress

I look forward to using this attachment on a regular basis. It pumps up the entire arm including the forearm and bicep in a very awesome way.

If this thing was finely finished, it would be an easy S tier inclusion for me. But I think I have to knock it down to a high A+ Tier, just to be fair to everything else.

If I started from scratch, this is a piece I would absolutely add back in right away. Highly recommend.
