Garage Gym Competition

In 2018 I created the Garage Gym Competition. A virtual powerlifting meet for people who lift at home. I partnered with a bunch of my friends in the community, we tossed it out there, and people loved it. So we came back again, and again, and again. We have had over 5000 lifters, more than $100k in prizes, millions of pounds lifted, and over $12k donated to non-profits. We have gotten here because this community freaking rocks!

I’ve done a lot of cool stuff in my garage, but the Garage Gym Competition continues to be the coolest. If you are thinking “powerlifting, that is my JAM!” Sweet, hop on over to the website and check out what is going on. If you are thinking “I’m not a powerlifter, this isn’t for me”, let me tell you that

79% of our recent participants have NO competitive powerlifting experience!

In fact, I myself have NEVER competed in a sanctioned powerlifting meet. We have had kids as young as 2 years old, and adults in their 60s compete. People who make sweet sweet love to the barbell, and people who have never touched a barbell before in their life. Our goal is to be inclusive, to welcome YOU and all those who lift at home into the wonderful world of the garage gym community. Lift alongside your fellow garage gym lifter, have some fun challenging yourself, and maybe win some awesome prizes. Many come from my favorite companies who consistently support me.

Oh! Prizes are given out in our drawing where you are entered by participating, not weight classes or amount lifted. We have had sub 100lb totals and 2000lb totals. And I donate money to Special Olympics and other Non-Profits on behalf of everyone who enters, so you are doing something good no matter what!

Still Not Sure About The Garage Gym Competition?

If you are still reading, the last thing I can tell you is that people freaking love the GGC. Every year we have more than 98% of our participants telling us just that. People have taken the leap of faith into joining at different stages in their lifting careers, and have found it helps them. They are more consistent, they have something to work towards, they have a like minded community behind them! If you give it a shot, I can almost guarantee you’ll love it. Plus, its free! So what do you have to lose?
